Overview
A Computer Pool is a collection of cloud computers that can be centrally managed and shared among users within an organization.
Computer Pools simplify:
- User access management
- Shared desktop environments
- Resource allocation
- Pool-based computer assignments
Administrators can create pools, assign computers, assign users or groups, and control whether multiple users can connect simultaneously.

Restricts access so only one user can connect to a cloud PC at a time.
This setting is useful for environments such as:
- Training rooms
- Shared workstations
- Call centers
- Shift-based teams
3. Assign Users or Groups to a Pool
After creating a pool, administrators can assign:
- Individual users
- Groups
Using Groups simplifies administration because permissions and pool assignments can be managed centrally.

Users - Select the users or groups that should have access
- Click:
Update Users
4. Edit a Computer Pool
Administrators can modify pool configuration at any time.

- Click the:
buttonDelete - Confirm the deletion
Deleting a Computer Pool removes the pool configuration and assignments only. The cloud computers themselves are not deleted.
Using Groups with Computer Pools
Computer Pools fully support the new Groups functionality available under:
Users Management → GroupsInstead of assigning users individually, administrators can:
- Create Groups
- Add users to Groups
- Assign entire Groups to Computer Pools
This significantly simplifies administration for large teams or departments.
Expected Result
Administrators can successfully create, manage, edit, and assign Computer Pools to users and groups within the Softnet Dashboard.
Troubleshooting
- Verify users or groups exist before assignment
- Ensure the administrator account has permission to manage pools
- Refresh the dashboard if recent changes do not appear immediately
- Confirm assigned computers are active and available
