Overview
Error Code 09 (SessionSettingsTimeout) occurs when the Softdrive client initiates a connection, but the session settings are not successfully received from the server. This typically indicates a network interruption during session setup.

Symptoms
- Error Code 09 – SessionSettingsTimeout displayed when connecting
- Connection attempt starts but does not complete
- Session fails before the desktop loads
Possible Causes
- Unstable or poor internet connection
- Packet loss or high latency
- Temporary network interruptions
- Network congestion affecting real-time traffic
Resolution
1. Verify Network Stability
- Confirm your internet connection is stable
- Avoid Wi-Fi if possible; use a wired Ethernet connection
- Ensure no active downloads or bandwidth-heavy applications
2. Retry the Connection
- Wait 30–60 seconds
- Attempt to reconnect to the Softdrive computer
3. Use Troubleshoot Option
- Log in to the Softdrive dashboard
- Select your computer
- Click Troubleshoot
4. Test on a Different Network
- Try connecting from another network (e.g., mobile hotspot)
- This helps determine if the issue is specific to your current network
5. Restart Your Local Device
- Restart your computer
- Relaunch the Softdrive client and try again
Validation / Expected Result
- The session connects successfully without error
- The Softdrive desktop loads normally
