Error Code 10 - OtherClientConnected

Overview


Error Code 10 (OtherClientConnected) indicates that another client device has connected to the same remote computer, which caused the current session to end.


This message is not an error. It is a standard informational message delivered through the Softdrive error mechanism to explain a special session exit scenario.


When a second device connects to the same remote PC using the same account, the existing session is disconnected to allow the new connection.


Common Causes

This message is expected in the following scenarios:

  • Logging into the same Softdrive account from another device

  • Connecting to the same Cloud PC from a second location

  • Reconnecting from a new device while an existing session is active

This behavior is by design and helps ensure session integrity.


What to Do


Things to know when this message appears:


  • No action is required
    If you intentionally connected from another device, this message can be safely ignored.

  • Confirm which device should remain connected
    Only one active session per Cloud PC is allowed unless multiple streams are explicitly enabled.


If this message appears unexpectedly and you did not initiate another connection, please contact Softdrive Support.

When opening a support ticket, include as much detail as possible:

  • Exact message shown (Error Code 10 – OtherClientConnected)

  • Timestamp of when the session ended

  • Cloud PC name and organization

  • Devices involved in the connection
