 Error Code 06 (ClientException) indicates that the Softdrive client encountered an unexpected and uncategorized error during operation. 

This error does not map to a specific known failure category and typically represents an internal client-side exception. In many cases, the issue is temporary and may resolve by retrying the connection.

Symptoms

  • Unexpected error message when launching or connecting
  • Client fails without a clear or specific reason
  • Connection attempt stops abruptly

Possible Causes

  • Temporary client-side instability
  • Unexpected internal exception in the Softdrive client
  • Interruption during client startup or connection process
  • Conflicts with other applications or system resources

 This issue is typically not caused by network configuration or firewall rules

Resolution

  1. Retry the connection
    • In many cases, the error is transient and resolves when reconnecting
  2. Restart the Softdrive client
    • Close the client completely and reopen it before trying again
  3. Restart your device
    • Reboot your local device to clear temporary system or application conflicts

  • This error is general and may require investigation if persistent
  • Repeated occurrences may indicate a client bug or compatibility issue
  • Ensure the Softdrive client is up to date
