Overview

 Error Code 07 (ServerException) indicates that the remote desktop server encountered an unexpected and uncategorized error while processing the connection. 

 This represents an internal server-side exception that does not fall into a specific known failure category. 

 In many cases, the issue is temporary and may resolve by retrying the connection. 

Applies To

  • Softdrive Platform
  • Softstream Client
  • Remote Desktop / Cloud PC sessions

Symptoms

  • Unexpected error when connecting to a Cloud PC
  • Connection fails without a clear reason
  • Session fails to initialize or terminates abruptly

Possible Causes

  • Temporary instability in the remote desktop server
  • Unexpected internal server-side exception
  • Short-lived service interruption
  • Backend processes restarting or recovering

 This issue is server-side and is not caused by client configuration or local network settings. 

Resolution

  1. Retry the connection
    • The issue is often temporary and resolves on reconnect
  2. Wait and try again
    • Allow a few minutes for backend services to recover

Validation / Expected Result

  • The connection completes successfully
  • The session launches without errors
  • No server exception message appears

Troubleshooting Notes

  • This error is typically temporary and platform-side
  • If multiple users are affected, it likely indicates a broader service issue
  • Repeated occurrences may require backend investigation
