User Quick Start

Overview

This is a quick start guide to help a new user access and begin working on their new virtual PC session.

For users only with access to their virtual PC session jump to Step 5 [typical setup]

For users granted access to the web based Management Console start at Step 1


  1. User will receive email with instructions to register for Softdrive (initiated by the IT administrator)

  2. Completes the instructions for registering online 

Dashboard Signup and Login

  1. User will receive a confirmation email that registration is completed

  2. User can now access the Softdrive Console [Softnet] through a browser 

Dashboard - Logging In

  1. Install the Softstream Client onto your physical device using the following instructions

App - Using Softdrive from a new computer 

App - Download and Install (Win 11)

  1. Log into the Softstream Client with your username and password 

  2. Click on the ‘Computers’ icon and you will see a list of the virtual PC(s) you have been assigned. 

Select your virtual PC and click ‘Connect’

  1. User is prompted for username and password to logon

This completes connection to the virtual PC

*If your administrator has configured SSO (single sign-on) you will be automatically logged onto your virtual PC.
