Head to https://www.softdrive.co/ and click ‘Login’ 





Login with our credentials. 


 

Once logged in, you will see your Dashboard. Here you can see the softdrive machines assigned to you. You will also see 3 menu sections: 


My Softdrive:

Section where user can see settings for the softdrive machine assigned, the computer pools, templates, user management, invoices and organization settings. 



Help and support:

Helpful links like the “report a bug” where user can report a bug, contact sales, learn about hotkeys, find FAQ’s and a link to download the latest version of Softdrive. 



User settings: 

Account settings to edit name, last name and password. 



Computers


In the computers tab you will be able to:

  • Visualize all of organization computers. Each item shows basic details from each computer (status, owner, storage and pool). 

  • Use the SEARCH option using computername, owner name or lastname. 

  • Change the layout using list view or grid view.

  • Download the list of computer with all its details. 


If you click the PREVIEW button you will see more details from the computer 

as well as a set of actions available for it. 




The quick actions provided are useful for troubleshooting purposes. 

Additional actions will let user upgrade the tier, add storage or save this computer as template. 



Edit computer

Each computer item will have the Edit option.


When accessing the edit menu, you will be able change the name and owner of the computer. 


Delete computer

In order to delete a computer, go to the computer item and click on PREVIEW, then choose the delete option.

A pop up will show up to confirm deletion of the computer. 



Create computer

Once user is logged in, new computers can now be created by clicking on the add button on the top right corner of the screen.


Fill out the form that will show up specifying the details for your new Softdrive machine. 


 


Choose Operating system and the owner assigned.



Details like Region


Tier machine specs



Companies have the option to upload template with a baseline of software needed. Once those templates are uploaded, those will be available to be assigned whenever you need to create a computer.


 


On the custom requirements field, you can specify things like extra storage or any other requirement you may have. 

Creating a computer with a custom request may take up to 48 hours. 





Computer Pool

A computer pool is a collective set of computers that can be easily shared among team members




View computer pools.


In the "computer pool" tab you will be able to:

  • Visualize all of organization computer pool. Each item shows basic details from each group (number of computers, number of users). 

  • Use the SEARCH.  

  • Change the layout using list view or grid view.



Create computer pools.


Creating  computer pools has two steps:


- First, create the pool, assigning a name and confirming this will have multiple streams enabled. 




- Second step is assigning computers and users to the newly created pool.




Edit computer pool

In order to edit a computer pool, go to the computer pool item and click on PREVIEW, then choose the edit option.


In Edit option you will be able to edit the name, users assigned and computers assigned to the pool. 

 




Delete computer pool

In order to delete a computer, go to the computer item and click on PREVIEW, then choose the delete option.

A pop up will show up to confirm deletion of the computer pool. 





Templates


In order to make deployment easier, Softdrive lets you upload OS images with a baseline of required apps. All you need to do, is go the the templates part to the menu and add a new one. 


Once created, they will be available whenever you create a new machine



Users


The users menu will show you all existent users in your organization’s softdrive. 

Each item will have basic information.






View Users


The preview option will give you more detailed information about this user. 


It will also have quick actions that will let network administrator help this user with password reset as well as resetting login attempts. 




Create Users.



In order to create a user, general information is needed like name, last name and email. You will also specify if this user will be an admin user. 






Delete Users

In order to delete a user, go to the user item and click on PREVIEW, then choose the delete option.


Confirm the deletion



Invoices


Invoices will let user download current and all previous invoices for the softdrive services.  All users that have been assigned billing admin permissions will be able to have access to this option. 




Organization settings


Organization settings will let you manage features like security, clipboard features, network settings like VPN and Billing information.
