This guide provides instructions on how to correctly adjust your screen resolution when using a Softdrive virtual machine.
How it Works
Softdrive is designed to automatically mirror the native resolution of your local hardware. To adjust the resolution of your VM, you must update the settings on your physical device.
| Platform | Instructions |
| Windows | 1. Right-click anywhere on your desktop and select Display settings. 2. Locate the Display resolution dropdown and select your desired setting. |
| macOS | 1. Open the System Settings (or System Preferences) menu. 2. Navigate to Displays. 3. Select your preferred resolution from the available options. |
Important Note on Internal Settings
Please be aware that manually modifying display settings within the Softdrive virtual machine (e.g., via the internal Windows Display Settings menu) is not supported. The resolution parameters displayed inside the VM may not accurately reflect the actual output.
