How to Assign VMs to users using pooled PCs?

Overview

This article explains how to assign virtual machines to specific users from a pooled PC environment. Pooled PCs are shared VMs that are not permanently tied to a single user. this guide covers how to allocate them on a per-user basis through the softnet dasboard.

Procedure

1. Access the Pooled Page

   • Navigate to the Computer Pools section in your Softnet dashboard.

2. Add Users to a Pool

   • Click on one of the pools.

   • Select the pencil (edit) icon beside users

3. Assign PCs to Users

   • Once users are added to the pool, you can assign PCs to them.

   • Users will then be able to view and access the pool from their dashboard.

This ensures proper allocation and visibility for users working with pooled PCs.
