By default the settings button is located on the top left corner of the screen. If you want to replace this button, you can just drag it wherever you like it.
CTRL ALT .
Use this command to hide the settings button and show it again when needed.
The setting menu will show you the Softdrive machine settings in a dropdown menu.
Quick settings
Will help you choose the picture quality settings based on your internet connection. The options provided are
Ultralow and Low:
designed for low internet speeds, users that are on the field, where they use their phone hotspot to access the internet or offices with a low speed internet connection
Medium: and High: is best suited for places where users have a good and reliable internet connection
On this menu you will also have an option to set the priority of the image based on Quality or Frame Rate
Advanced Quality Settings
For customized video settings letting you choose specific settings like codec, encoder type, rate control and other options.
This settings will help you tweak the video settings whenever there are delays and latency problems.
Analytics
On this screen, you will see your Bandwidth, Packet Loss, Ping and Jitter. You can also see your Target and Actual Bitrate, Frames/Second, and Encode/Decode speed.
These metrics and settings are generally for administrators. If ever you experience issues, such as Softdrive's performance isn't as smooth as usual, please check these settings first - there is a good chance you may be having a temporary internet/WIFI issue.
Multi-Monitors
This setting will show all available monitors and will give you the option to cast Softdrive on some monitors, on all monitors or only on the primary monitor. The transition is seamless.
Softdrive allows you to cast on multiple screens at once, up to 8 screens.
Video Conferencing
For users that will use zoom, teams or any other video conferencing app. This setting will help you choose your local resources to be used in your Softdrive machine. When you click on this setting, softdrive will show you your local speakers, microphones and webcams if there are any.
Servers
For users that have more than one machine assigned to them, Softdrive will let the users access both computers at the same time, and they will be able to swap from one computer to another by using the option “Servers”
File transfers
COPY/PASTE
You can copy and paste files from your local desktop to Softdrive and vice-versa.
You can also drag the file and drop it into Softdrive. Once you drag the file into Softdrive, select "Copy here" or "Move here" to paste the file.
Report issue
There are several ways to report issues to the Softdrive team. Overlay, Web and Email.
Overlay: Using the Softdrive Desktop Icon - Click "Report Issue" and you will be directed to the page below. Here you can submit a support ticket.

Email: You can reach out to us via: Email - [email protected]
Slack: during onboarding, a dedicated slack group will be created. This will give you direct contact to our support team.
Send Ctrl+Ald+Delete
Will allow you to go straight to your Windows settings.
Minimize
Will minimize the Softdrive icon. You can return the icon by clicking Ctrl + Alt + .
(Period).
Alternatively, you can click the arrow on the task bar in the tray icons menu (at the bottom right of your screen), click the Softdrive icon and click
'Show Menu'.
Window Mode
Window Mode: The ability to choose full or windowed screen.
Exit Softdrive
Will exit and log out of Softdrive.
